Cornersmith Case Study/Workshop

This workshop, held at Cornersmith in Annandale in late 2023, bought together a range of influential players within the Sydney hospitality scene to talk all things food waste and sustainability.
The participants split into groups of 4-6 and discussed the predetermined topics of training, community, infrastructure and commerce. All groups had the opportunity to provide input on all subjects.
The mood was convivial and engaging, with food and drink provided by the many hospitality providers there. We recorded the sessions through video, photography, voice recording and notes. This data was then fed into Nvivo, a qualitative data analysis tool, and coded for trends. Coded data is currently being used to inform the End Food Waste Sector Action Plan for small to medium sized hospitality.
